Our two federations, TERNELIA TOURISME and VACANCES ACTIVES, have chosen to join forces. As the final stage of this project, the General Assembly of 18 September 2014 inaugurated a new structure under the banner of “Groupe Ternélia/Vacances actives”. This organisation takes forward the TERNELIA brand which was created in 2009.
This outcome was the logical conclusion of our interweaving paths, in an industry which faces a changing society and new challenges with every year that comes.
Our team works from a centre of operations and comprises recognised professionals from the fields of management, human resources, quality, marketing and e-commerce Our aim: to respond to the wide range of expectations of our holiday villages and meet the challenge of growing them within a Social and Solidarity Economy.
The Ternélia - Vacances Actives Group now has 51 holiday villages in France, with 11,000 beds, a little over 500,000 holiday nights, a team of 324 FTE, 4 tourist agencies and a turnover of 50 million euros. The synergy we have created offers our guests a wider range of holidays, things to discover and people to meet.

More than ever before, we uphold the values which led to this rapprochement – a belief in a radically different way of working together, not for profit but for a sustainable, responsible, environmentally friendly tourism that serves its users, one that is dynamically rooted in its host country.
Finally, we firmly believe that performance is not measured only by economic returns, which are nonetheless essential to all solidarity commitments. It is also measured in terms of a social usefulness that is clearly visible to all.
